Boyfriend Break Up
Posted by Unknown
Did you break up with your guy recently? Do you feel lost without him? Are you wondering if you can get him back? If so, then here's some useful advice relating to a boyfriend break up.
First things first, figure out whether the relationship is really over. Unless you're able to conclude what once was is now over – meaning he's no longer a part of your life, it will be hard for you to move on.
This doesn't mean that you must put him in the past right away. There are numerous steps to consider if you want to get him back. For one, you can continue to be in his life on a casual basis while hoping to reunite as boyfriend and girlfriend down the road.
However, if your mind is made up and ready to move on with your life, there are some steps you can do to reach some kind of closure. This is a process where you realize the relationship is truly over and you begin to heal.
The first thing you will want to do is communicate the hurt inside. There are numerous ways to do this:
- Talk to family and friends who truly empathize what you're going through and can help you work through your hurt feelings
- Go into short-term therapy to help you channel through your feeling with a dispassionate 3rd party
- Write down your feelings in a diary (journal); express them through music or in a poem. Although this is considered a less costlier approach to expressing yourself without a professional, it's still effective
After you've come to some point of closure, get rid of everything that reminds you of your ex. All things should be removed that remind of you him and the break up itself. The things that are valuable should be given back, while the other things can be discarded. If you come across the some items given to you as a gift, simply box them up and store them away for now.
Next, decide how you're going to spend your time now that the relationship is over. You might feel that time hangs heavy on your hands. Then again, you might feel a burst of freedom by not having to confront with everything your ex insisted you do.
Doing the things that please you, will only help you become a happier person. Do this and you'll start to miss your ex less and less.
The time will come when you'll know that you are really over your ex. You'll start to have feelings for another guy which just might be reciprocated. After awhile, you'll find a new guy and form a new relationship. That's a true sign you have moved on and the boyfriend break up won't be as serious anymore.
If for any reason you feel that he's worth fighting for or want to rekindle the relationship but not quite sure how to get started, you might want to consider a resource called Get Him Back Forever or Magic of Making Up
